Surgical Open 2011

Fawn Creek Country Club in Anamosa provided the perfect summer day setting for more than 66 golfers at the 28th Annual Surgical Open on Saturday, June 4. The fundraiser, which benefits the Jones Regional Medical Center Foundation, raised nearly $10,000.
John Smith and Dave Wadlington, both of Cedar Rapids won the two-person best shot tournament with a score of 62. The event featured hole contests, flight prizes and a raffle.
Funds from this year’s Surgical Open will go toward a portable ventilator to be used throughout the hospital. Jones Regional Medical Center opened the doors to a new facility in October of 2009. As continued growth occurs, equipment, such as this ventilator, will continue to help staff provide efficient and high quality care to the patients and families at JRMC.
This year’s Surgical Open was presented by Citizens Bank of Anamosa and Tipton, Dr. Michael Warner, DDS, and East Central Iowa Acute Care. Fifty businesses and citizens provided sponsorship for the event.
